Master Adam Preston has recently joined our Midlands Region as an Instructor for the Birmingham area where his considerable physical ability and experience will augment his brother's efforts to promote Tang Soo Do in the second city.
Master Preston began his Tang Soo Do career in 1990 after seeing his brother's confidence grow as he was preparing for his 1st Dan black belt test.
From then Master Adam Preston achieved 1st Dan in 1994 aged 10 years old, 2nd Dan in 1996 and 3rd Dan in 2000. He then studied BSc Mathematics at the University of East Anglia for 4 years and after a 2 year break from Education to work in Spain, Master Preston has returned to education at the University of Warwick to study Secondary School Mathematics Education (PGCE).
In September 2007, the then Mr. Preston, alongside his brother, was assessed and passed to 4th Dan by Kwan Jang Nim Andy Ah Po, who is one of only 5 Senior Ko Dan Ja in the World to be awarded the rank of 8th Dan by the late founder, Great Grandmaster Hwang Kee, and also Sa Bom Nim Stephen Propst, a 6th Dan Master Instructor with over 35 years of Martial Arts experience.
Master Preston is proud of his strong lineage to Tang Soo Do with the fact that all Dan Grades up to 3rd Dan has been certified and signed by the Late Founder Great Grandmaster Hwang Kee.
